Privacy

The short version

Hireway uses your information to find roles for you and draft your resumes. We don't sell it, we don't show you ads, and we don't share it with employers. Nothing is ever submitted to an employer unless you submit it yourself.

What we collect

When you sign up: your name, email, and, if you add them, your LinkedIn URL and the role you're looking for.

When you use Hireway: the resume you upload and the profile lines made from it, your job preferences, the roles you save or hide, your fit-score ratings, the resumes Hireway drafts for you and your application tracker.

We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. We use one sign-in cookie to keep you signed in. We count page visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and doesn't identify you.

Who helps us run Hireway

Supabase stores your account, profile and resume files. Vercel hosts the website. Anthropic's Claude reads your profile and job postings to score fit and draft resumes; under Anthropic's commercial terms your data isn't used to train their models. Resend sends our emails. Stripe handles payments for paid plans; we never see your card number. Serper runs web searches for companies that are hiring, using job titles only, never your personal details.

Each of them handles your data only to provide their service to us.

The Chrome extension

The extension stores a connection key in your browser. It only reads and fills application forms on Greenhouse, Ashby and Lever when you click Fill this application. It never submits a form.

When you click Fill this application, it sends the address of that application page to Hireway so we can find the job and the resume you approved for it. It does not read your browsing on other sites.

What the extension handles is used only to fill your applications and update your tracker. We never sell it or use it for advertising, and its use follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your data while you have an account. Email hello@hireway.ai to get a copy of your data or have your account and everything in it deleted, and we'll do it within 30 days.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Each person's data is walled off at the database level, so one account can't read another's. Sign-in uses one-time email codes, so there's no password to leak.
